Here’s the first update for 2011—as we come out of hibernation in the snow!
Despite tough times for everyone in the industry, AcSoft’s broad range of products and applications helps us weather the storm, and our suppliers are constantly innovating with new products and software. The weakness of the pound hasn’t helped the price lists, but we still offer the best bang for buck in the business!
Svantek goes from strength to strength, and their range of DSP-based instruments is second to none. The new 979 has just been released, featuring colour OLED display, and 1/1 & 1/3 octave real-time analysis as standard.
A new UK company, Svantek UK is now running, which will take over Svantek business in UK. It’s a joint venture with AcSoft, with all the same familiar faces and support. Find the website at www.svantek.co.uk
Sinus has just released the new Apollo USB front end, which offers up to 8 channels of analysis, in a rugged external box. The Samurai software performs all the usual things like real-time analysis, FFT, signal recording, sound level meter, vibration meter, and even video! Additional options cover sound intensity, sound power and pass-by applications
Version 2 of Samurai is now on the streets, with many unique new features, such as multi-parameter spectrum analysis, and post-processing on signal recordings.
SoundBook has also been updated, now with 24bit modular and upgradeable hardware in the rugged ToughBook platform
Listen has released the new AmpConnect, which makes interfacing of transducers to the new SoundCheck 9 really easy, with I/O interface for production testing. And the new SoundCheckONE is an excellent entry level system to compete with lower cost systems, including the AmpConnect for less than £6,000 + VAT
Our relationship with Dytran has gone from strength to strength, and their range of accelerometers and hammers is now extra good value, and new arrangements in Europe will speed up the delivery time, and stabilise pricing
Highlights over the next few months include:-
· MIRE microphone option for the SV102 dosemeter, for measurements according to ISO11904 · ArtemiS 12 software including CANbus data management, and special analysis for electric vehicles (EV) · SoundCheckONE for production testing of loudspeakers and microphones · SV106 six channel vibration meter & analyser · SV101 whole-body vibration dosemeter and analyser · 90AA Portable audiometer calibration system from GRAS · Hurricane 32 channel system from Sinus · low-cost Harmonie_BNC hardware from Sinus · AmpConnect front-end for SoundCheck · Swing monitoring systems for noise & vibration from Sinus · HEADlab multichannel front end for ArtemiS · MFE XI Bluetooth interface unit for ACQUA · and many more….. |
