Noise & Vibration Meters |
|
The 95x range extends to vibration meters, and here, the king of the road is the 956.
A rugged hand-held meter, it comes complete with accelerometer and rugged cable, and measures acceleration, velocity and displacement.
Other measurements include MTVV and VDV, and results can be saved to memory for later download to a PC—the software’s included!
An additional input allow you to measure RPM, with a nice laser tacho probe, and balancing of machines becomes a reality.
As with the rest of the range, FFT analysis is available, for in-depth machine fault diagnosis, and results are displays on a nice back-lit LCD |

For industrial noise, you need a minimum accuracy of Class 2. This is covered by the entry level 953, which fulfils all the requirements of measuring workplace noise according to the Physical Agents Directive.
Available as a complete kit including calibrator, windscreen and carrying case, the 953 can also be upgraded to have 1/1 octave band real-time filters—useful for specifying hearing protectors for example.
The range continues up to the 959, which is a Class 1 instrument, with vibration measurement capability also. 1/1 and 1/3 octave filters are standard, and data may be logged and stored on a plug in USB stick for long-term measurements of e.g. environmental noise or vibration. |

The market for sound level meters and vibration meters is a huge and confusing place, and it’s often difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff.
Svantek’s range of DSP-based instruments make the choice easy. Now all you have to do is decide what class of accuracy you need, and the basic functionality.
With all hand-held instruments, you need reliability, ruggedness, ease-of-use and long battery life.
The 95x range scores on all points, and whatever the application, we have something to suit.
All Svantek meters come with a 2 year warranty, free download software, USB interface and lifetime upgrades of firmware for new functionality.
...and of course, the price is lower than you expect! |

..and if all that’s not enough, do it in 4 channels—sound, vibration, whatever.
The 958 is a real Swiss knife, equally at home as a sound level meter or vibration meter. In all channels, you can measure either, making for a truly versatile instrument for the busy professional consultant! |
