Long-term Monitoring

Many of our systems are in use across the UK, monitoring noise nuisance for a variety of applications.

However, we are increasingly being asked for permanent or semi-permanent installations, using our technology, where systems can be set up and left for extended periods, with remote access to the data via e.g. modem.

Special problems arise in such systems, not least weatherproofing, meteorological data, adequate memory, powering, and reliable access. And in many cases, more than one channel is essential, for simultaneously monitoring sound and vibration.

Responding to the demand, we now offer a complete line of packages to suit any application or location.

Portable Systems

Our first systems are based around the powerful 95x series instruments, equipped with a weatherproof case, environmental microphone, and battery for extended monitoring periods.

The 959 is perfect for this application, offering a single 113dB dynamic range, so you can measure background noise in a field as well as high level events, without fear of overload or underload, the bane of unattended monitoring.

Designed for occasional use, over periods of up to one or two weeks, complete time histories can be stored, for download to a PC, (using fast USB) where

Permanent Monitoring

The new monitoring system from Azimut Monitoring is designed to make pollution monitoring easy.

Featuring an integrated system for mounting on a lamp post, the system will run indefinitely on solar power, while sending results back to a database using GPRS communication.

As well as noise data, air quality is measured with its integrated sensor, making a complete package for urban environment monitoring.

Advanced web-savvy software performs regular post-processing of data, and publishes results in real-time to public web-pages, or more detailed data on your intranet, for management of noise climates.

Non-technical users can be shielded from frightening terms like decibels, and advanced trending software shows the results on a scale of A to H, Green to Red for an immediate snapshot of the situation.

With extended powering, data can be downloaded via modem, and we have thoroughly tested a new GPRS modem, which makes digital mobile networks a reality.

There is a choice of microphones, depending on the measurement duration, and the internal battery powers the system for up to 10 days.

For more advanced application, some customers have fitted a microPC into a case, allowing all the benefits of PC-based systems, such as advanced triggering, audio recording, and limitless storage.
